Adult Choir meets on Wednesday
at 7:00 p.m. in the Choir Room.
 Celebration through Worship Leadership!
Jim Jordan,  Music & Choir Director  The Sanctuary Choir provides musical leadership at the worship services.  The Choir sings a variety of styles of anthems, all with the purpose of honoring and worshipping the Lord and being a blessing to the United Methodist Temple congregation.  The choir members are passionate about bringing glory to God through music. New members are ALWAYS welcome! 

 

 

United Methodist Men

 

 The United Methodist Men operates in connection with the global ministry of United Methodist Men.  the third Tuesday at 6:30 PM for dinner meeting. The United Methodist Men enjoy an annual hosting an annual Christmas tree ministry in November-December every year.  The proceeds from this fundraiser support several local charities as well as the United Methodist Children's home.                     Our men also attend retreats together that builds fellowship and enables them to grow in their faith. 

 

 

 

 

Clay's Army

 

Both women and men gather every Friday morning on our beautiful campus.  They to keep the United Methodist Temple campus in tip top shape so that vital ministry and mission can be accomplished from our church campus. This is truly a lot of fun!

 

Elizabeth Circle

 Elizabeth Circle meets the second Monday of the month at 9:30 AM. This circle is made up mostly of non-working women. One of their main projects every year is making Valentine Candy with the profits being distributed to different organizations such as the United Methodist Temple Foundation, UM Children's Home a deaf ministry and the United Methodist Women.

  

 

Christian Girls in Service (CGIS) 

Group that is active in preparing and serving special dinners for the church and some District and Conference events. Proceeds are also divided up among the organizations mentioned previously.

  

 

Dine Abouts

A woman's group that meet once a month for lunch at a local restaurant after Sunday service, To discuss current events, Must call Frances Mundy @ 863-646-1300, or  Brenda Dorn @ 863- 646-5250   for reservations.

 

 

Christian Women's Fellowship

 Christian Women's Fellowship meets the first Tuesday of every month at a local restaurant.  This group is made up of women from local United Methodist churches in Lakeland.

It's a time for Christian women to get together and fellowship with like interests.

 Kids Pack 

United Methodist Temple is part of an outreach ministry called “Kids Pack.” It is an organization that provides food for at risk children who do not have regular access to healthy food on weekends. The food provided is “kid friendly” and government regulated so you know they are receiving nutritious items. Persons and/or organizations are invited to sponsor one or more children. The weekly cost for one child is $6.00 ($25.00/month or $300.00/year. Y'all Class/The Living Bible Sunday School Class

 

Y'all Class is an adult Sunday School class, We use the Adult Quarterly for Bible study.  It comes out each quarter and we use the quarterly as a guide. It is basically a discussion class and we have different members taking turns at leading the class!, We meet in the Laura Hunt room. at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00am

 

 

 

 

 

The Genesis Sunday School Class

 

   The Genesis Class meets in the Conference room from 9 am to 10 am.

Children's Church

 

 Our church provides a Children's Church for ages kindergarten - 5th grade during  the Sunday service.
Children will be dismissed during the service and led to the children's library during the service.  Ushers can escort you to the church library after the service to pick up your children.
